The urban/rural gap is a doggedly problem for education systems around the world. Ghana have devised several strategies to bridge this disparity but the gap in achievement is still robust and significant. Whiles teacher absenteeism, teacher quality and teacher motivation continues to bedevil rural schools, there are also limited educational learning materials to supplement textbook to teachers, head-teachers and pupils. The never-ending canker has impacted negatively on the academic performances of children who attend schools in rural communities, consequently abating their future prospects and aspirations.
AG – Aider is providing educational resources to supplement textbooks (marker, charts, pictures, marker board, books, pen etc.) to teachers, head teachers and pupils living in violent-conflict, displaced and deprived communities across Ghana with inexorable teaching support from our volunteers – home and abroad.
Under harsh conditions – (security threats, malaria and cholera infested environments, accommodation/feeding problems, untreated drinking water, inadequate teaching materials etc.), our volunteers continually provide services to schools situated in armed-conflict, displaced and deprived communities throughout the year, in a bid to give marginalized children the opportunity to have quality, better and sustainable education just like the urban folks.
Aider is building a peaceful, healthy, and sustainable educational future for children living in armed-conflict, displaced and deprived communities.
The future of the world depends on how well we shape the children and we are doing that with your money. Donate to give positive meanings to the marginalized children living in violent-conflict, displaced and deprived communities in Ghana. Your donation will advance our scope of operation and will also give security and shelter to our foreign volunteers.
